Sundaze at the New York Botanic Garden

This weekend I finally made a visit to the New York Botanical Garden.  I had been planning on going all spring and finally got myself to do it, and there couldn’t have been a better day.   Located out in the Bronx, the Botanical Garden is kind of annoying to get to, but it is worth it.

All the Cherry Blossoms and Magnolias were in bloom and looked beautiful.  I’ve been day dreaming of making it to Japan to see the cherry blossoms in bloom, but do you really need to do that when we have so many here?

We also saw some trees that looked like Weeping Willows but with Cherry Blossoms, so I called them Weeping Cherries.  is that a real thing?

Also couldn’t resist Daffodil Hill.  Daffodils remind me of summer and the sun.  Can one be not happy while sitting in a field of Daffodils?  They also remind me of my all time favorite poem… Daffodils, by Wordsworth (obvi).
